This week, I had the joy of spending time with Olive, a 6-month-old golden retriever puppy who is the perfect mix of playfulness, energy, and love.From the moment I walked in, Olive’s big brown eyes and wagging tail made it clear she’s a sweetheart who thrives on companionship and fun.

Olive is a true lover at heart—whether she’s giving gentle cuddles or bouncing around the yard, she radiates happiness. She’s also very smart and obedient for her age. During our time together, we practiced her commands and tricks, and it was a delight to see how eager she was to listen and learn. With a little encouragement (and a treat or two!), Olive sat, stayed, and showed off just how quick she is to pick up on training.

Of course, Olive’s favorite part of the day was playtime. She absolutely adores her frisbee and ball, chasing them with boundless enthusiasm before proudly trotting back, ready to go again. Her playful spirit shines through in every pounce and wiggle, and it’s clear that she’s growing into not just a beautiful golden retriever, but a loyal and loving companion.

I am so excited to continue working with Olive through our weekly drop-in visits. These visits are the perfect way to give pets like Olive the attention, exercise, and companionship they need while their families are away.
