This past week I had the joy of spending time with three wonderful cats — Walter and Nala in one home, and Luna in another. Sweet Moments During Cat Drop-In Visits. Each of them has their own unique personality, and it was such a rewarding experience to care for them during my drop-in visits.

When I first arrived, Walter and Nala were a little unsure of me. They kept their distance, eyes wide, carefully watching to see what I was all about. With patience (and a few irresistible treats), Walter slowly began to warm up. Soon, he was happily accepting snacks from my hand, giving me gentle boops on the face, and even allowing me to give him a little kiss on the head. That moment of trust melted my heart.

Nala preferred to keep her distance, showing me her quiet and independent side, which I completely respect. Every cat builds comfort in their own time, and it’s always my goal to make them feel safe and cared for however they choose to connect.

At another home, I got to spend time with Luna. She’s a very cautious girl who chose to keep to herself during my visits, but it was still so good to see her and make sure she was doing well. Respecting her space was important, and I was happy to know she felt comfortable staying in her own rhythm.

Overall, it was such a wonderful experience with all three of these fur babies. Every drop-in is different, but that’s what makes them so special — meeting each pet where they are, earning their trust, and giving them the love and care they deserve while their families are away.
